Send Me Your Script

I studied creative scriptwriting at Stanford University, then Scriptwriting and Story Analysis at USC Cinema.  I got prfessional feedback on my scripts –and after that –I worked on over 30 tv shows, including Mork & Mindy, One Day at a Time, ALF, Newhart, Dilbert, Duckman and South Park.  I worked with Tom Arnold, Drew Carey, Pee Wee Herman, Roseanne, and Bob Newhart.
I pitched, wrote and sold scripts to studios, have done rewrites on features for Steven Speilberg at Amblin.  I’ve created 5 tv shows, including 2 half hour comedies and a long-running animated show called The Wild Thornberrys, which spawned 2 feature films.

Experience at the Studio

When you work as a Story Analyst or a “Reader” you get a very good sense of what studios want to buy — the quality of the writing, the dialogue, the story, the pacing, the characters and their arcs.  I did this job while I was breaking in, and it helped me sell my first script.
Everyday the story department gave me a novel or a screenplay to read.  I worked as a bartender back then at the Hollywood Hamlet.  I would read the scripts or novel at the bar in my down time, then go home and write “the coverage”  that’s what the studio execs are given to read — its got a one page summeary and a few pages of analysis.  Then most importantly it gets a RECOMMEND or PASS.
The scripts marked PASS never move up, the scripts marked RECOMMEND go upstairs where the money people decide if they want to buy it.  I know what it takes to get the RECOMMEND, and I’m going to help you get it.

I will Help You Get That Job
